Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Traffic in Tucson peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

As a former foster parent, I was disheartened to learn how much less support is received by kinship foster families. I was so grateful to hear about Seeds Community Center, and their mission to serve these children and their family members who have stepped up to care for them. From enrichment activity scholarships to support groups for the parents, they have met these families where they are and work hard to fill the gap so that these deserving families have what they need to be successful. I highly recommend them to anyone involved in Kinship care!

Seeds is doing meaningful work in the Tucson community and it is an honor to volunteer and support their mission. By supporting kinship families they are investing in parents and children for flourishing relationships and blessing the greater community. We hope to be attuned to the needs of the families in our program and expand for greater impact and precise care.

Seeds Community Center provides excellent support for kinship families. Before becoming a volunteer, I was not aware of the extensive role kinship caregivers play in the lives of children. Thanks to my experience with Seeds, I have gained a deeper understanding of this often-overlooked need. SCC is doing an outstanding job of empowering kinship caregivers to provide a positive and enjoyable childhood for these children.

Seeds Community Center is a great local nonprofit that works with kinship families (aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other family members that are raising kids). I've been a volunteer with them for almost 10 years, and they do really great work. There's a monthly support group for kinship caregivers with a free dinner and child care.

Seeds Community Center offers practical and meaningful support to kinship-foster families throughout Tucson. I've seen firsthand the impact our kinship dinners and scholarships have with our families and can attest that these families are better equipped to thrive with our support.
